Do you want to make a contribution to biodiversity in your garden? Do you want to ensure that birds have plenty of insects to eat? Do you have questions about meadow care or scything? Then you're on the right track!
At Slåttergubben, we are passionate about biodiversity and offer various services to enable as many people as possible to contribute as much as possible.
Our services may be relevant, for example, to:

- Local heritage associations
- Village societies

- Municipal administration
- Events, such as a market or fair with a related theme.

Scythe Courses
We offer approximately 60 course sessions from May to August, from Skåne to Dalarna, which you can book directly via our website. You can borrow a scythe during the course to try it out, or purchase a scythe in conjunction with the course and practice with the one you will then take home with you. More information about our site hosts, meals, and other good-to-know details can be found under each specific course session.
Scythe Course Group Booking
If you are a larger group, you can book a private course session for up to 10 people. The course is suitable for both beginners and those who wish to continue developing their skills. We are based in Linköping, Östergötland, but travel from Skåne to Dalarna during the summer. You are responsible for gathering participants and ensuring there is a suitable location to hold the course.
Mowing with Scythes
Every summer, we mow approximately 40-50 hectares of meadowland with scythes on behalf of municipalities, county administrations, associations, and private individuals. We mow meadows in nature reserves, around hotels and housing associations, in cemeteries, and in gardens—not to mention airports and roundabouts!
Wherever there is a meadow, we can mow it. If you have an area you would like mowed, feel free to contact us!
Meadow Consultation 30 min
You can either email pictures that we will discuss over the phone, or book an on-site consultation. Depending on where you live, you can meet me or one of my competent meadow colleagues. The conversations usually end with relief, security, and clear goals.
Establishing a Meadow
One of the best and simplest things you can do to contribute to increased biodiversity is to establish a meadow. If you have a slightly larger area or simply want help to get it right from the start, you can naturally hire us.
