Soaked raisins are liked by blackbirds, waxwings, and starlings

Description

Raisins are primarily eaten by the blackbird, song thrush, and other thrush species. Starling and bohemian waxwing also enjoy them. Raisins are best placed directly on the ground or in low, open bird tables. They should be soaked overnight to make them more appealing to birds. It's fine if they freeze outside, but it's important that they contain plenty of moisture.

Raisins are particularly sought after in late winter and early spring, when the availability of wild fruits and berries starts to decline.

The raisins we offer are organic and carry the EU organic certification. They are typically sourced from Turkey and Uzbekistan.

The raisins we buy are food-grade quality.
