Description

NOTE The mini hoe is delicate! Not for larger sapplings, roots, stumps. If you want to be able to handle larger items with full force, choose the "small blade hoe". It's primarily the handle that is much weaker at the attachment on this one.

The mini has a slightly wider angle towards the handle than the small blade hoe.

The advantage of the mini is that it's light enough to effortlessly achieve a good wrist flick in a one-handed grip even if you're not very strong. If you have a bit of strength and tool familiarity, you can easily do it with the small blade hoe too, but it's a bit strenuous in the long run. Especially when you feel that the weight of the small one isn't justified for the purpose.

The mini hoe has an ergonomic and short axe-like handle. It's not nearly as heavy to work with as the small blade hoe. Perfect for lighter one-handed tasks like various weed clearing and lighter work in the garden beds.

It also works very well for small sapplings up to 1cm thick, as with a light one-handed flick, you can put the hoe a few cm into the soil to lift them up below the growth point. At the same time, pulling the sappling with your left hand to feel where the roots are and that it loosens. However, do not underestimate the speed of pulling up small sapplings by hand alone! You can advantageously work with both the small and the mini simultaneously when clearing sapplings if there is a lot of small ones!

Needs to be sharpened from time to time. This is easiest done with a portable angle grinder and a sanding disc/flap disc. Be careful so the steel doesn't turn blue from the heat.
