Brings you through hard and rocky ground

Description

Pickaxes are widely used abroad in rocky soil. These high-quality Portuguese pickaxes are excellent tool companions and can be sharpened to a sharpness similar to axes. With a fairly blunt edge angle, they can be used with force straight into roots, stumps, etc., so the chips fly! When well sharpened, the flat part of the pickaxe becomes more like a vertical axe. The pointed part is excellent for breaking up hard rocky ground.

The pickaxe is primarily a tool for navigating through really compact and rocky soil. It easily cuts through wrist-thick roots as long as it's fairly sharp. It breaks up asphalt without any problem.

For brush clearing, we recommend the small blade hoe.

The blade of the pickaxe can be sharpened from time to time with an angle grinder with a grinding wheel - just be careful so that the steel does not get too hot and turn blue, as it will lose its hardness.

Perfect tool for building an MTB trail or downhill track for mountain biking when the ground is hard and rocky.

If you work hard with them, expect the handle not to last forever, sometimes it needs to be replaced.

The handle can break if you pry too hard with the pickaxe. You can certainly pry a little, but not with full force.

Really thick material, the blade is about 10 mm thick on the straight part, and the whole pickaxe is 57 cm long - large and heavy!
