Poppy seeds are a relatively unknown bird food.

From what we’ve read, they’re a good seed for robins, Eurasian tree sparrows, and several other sparrows and small birds. Poppy seeds are rich in nutrients and fats. They are very small but not too slippery.

We recommend mixing them with other seeds or placing them in small piles on the ground, on some stones or planks, so they don't disappear.

Budgies and many other pet birds also enjoy poppy seeds.
