Hemp CBD, tea, and protein powder – Swedish organic.

Linnéa i hampaodlingen på Yogafarmen

We are very happy about the collaboration with Yogafarmen. In addition to providing us with top-quality locally grown hemp seeds for the birds, they also produce tea and CBD powder from the organic hemp.

Yogafarmen is located almost next door to Slåttergubben, a bit out on the Östgötaslätten. It is a family farm that hosts a small bed and breakfast, a yoga studio, and offers various treatments: acupuncture, blood analyses, craniosacral therapy, meridian treatments, etc...feel free to check out Yogafarmen

Skörd av hampa

Everything on the farm is organically grown, and they are true role models in implementing measures for biological diversity beyond what is required by organic certification. There are strips with flowering herbs, constructed paths by the farmland to facilitate outdoor activities, and more.

The hemp tea is harvested by hand at the end of summer when the hemp flower heads have the most flavor—before proper seeds have formed at the top of the hemp plant. It is then dried and packaged. The hemp tea has a fantastic aroma. If desired, it can be mixed with other herbal teas.

The hemp powder is harvested in a similar way. By hand when the flower heads contain the most active substance CBD. Extracting the powder itself is a slightly more complex process. More information on this can be found by clicking on the product.

Both are KRAV-certified and classified as "Novel food". The hemp grown is a type of industrial hemp with low levels of THC (the substance desired in high amounts if using it as a drug). The THC content has been measured at less than 0.2% in the products.

Odling av hampa har varit kontroversiellt.

Hemp is an amazing plant! It works very well in crop rotation in organic farming. It can grow very tall, often two to three meters. Therefore, it also effectively suppresses weeds if it gets a good head start in early summer. Hemp can be used to extract fiber for making ropes, clothes, or composite materials. The seeds and oil are edible. For many years, growing hemp was prohibited in Sweden because some varieties were bred to produce a lot of THC, which can be used as a drug. However, regular industrial and oil hemp is used for everything else. In the Linköping area, there is actually a long tradition of growing a lot of hemp—there were rope-making companies that produced strings and ropes from locally grown hemp fiber.
Imagine those times—when we relied on local resources and there weren't cheap plastic strings competing... absolutely zero microplastics and toxins in nature.
