Protective Plate for Birdhouses for Tits and Flycatchers
“Eat or be eaten,” as they say, is the law of nature.
The larger woodpecker loves eggs and bird chicks, considering them a good meal to feed its own young.
However, this isn't always something we enjoy, and the birdhouses we’ve put up often get damaged in the process.
Here’s a good protective plate, or cover plate, to screw or nail over the hole of a birdhouse that lacks one.
This plate is designed for standard small birdhouses intended for tits and black-and-white flycatchers.
These protective plates are made in Östergötland from 1mm thick aluminum. They’ve proven to withstand woodpecker attacks time and time again.
Screws or nails are not included.
