Organic sunflower seeds and sunflower kernels

Sunflower seeds are what most wild birds like! Bullfinches, greenfinches, great tits, and many more love that you have sunflowers in your bird feeding station. By filling your bird feeder or bird table with shelled sunflower seeds, more bird species can eat them. Forget about messy sunflower shells in the garden - they are instead used as biofuel!

For us, it is obvious that the cultivation of bird feed should be as beneficial as possible for birds and biodiversity. That's why the wild bird mixes are organic and/or environmentally certified.

Do you want to know what type of feeding suits where you live?

Do you want to know which bird eats what?

72 species of wild birds have eaten our organic bird food! Will the next one appear at your place?

For organic sprouts and sunflower shoots, we recommend shelled whole sunflower kernels.

Whole organic sunflower seeds, shelled – Bulgaria.

Feel free to watch the film here about conventional farming in Bulgaria! Our Bulgarian sunflowers are organically grown, which is at least less harmful to the birds and ecosystems. However, they are still grown; the best thing for nature would be to invest in supporting the re-establishment of more meadow-like steppe landscapes and extensively grazed grasslands. This is true in Sweden as well; you could make the exact same film about agriculture here in Linköping with the Curlew as the star. As it stands, we are contributing to a high pressure to keep more land under cultivation... The film illustrates, just as we at Slåttergubben wholeheartedly want to convey, that we must be mindful of the ecosystems in general! This is so much bigger than just happy blue tits and house sparrows in our gardens.
