Below you can read what previous participants have to say about our scythe courses!
"I am very satisfied with the part of the course that I participated in. … I also noticed how physically demanding it was, especially being a bit older and untrained. Had to take extra breaks. Thank you for a very good and useful course! I appreciated the layout that I was a part of.”
/ Carina - August 2024 - Oskarshamn, Småland
“Well-planned course with knowledgeable leaders. The location was well chosen with typical nature for the area. A very pleasant host couple who provided good refreshments. The course leaders were knowledgeable and conveyed information in a positive way. I thought the right amount of time was spent on each element and participants had the opportunity to ask questions.
If you needed help, you got it. I am satisfied with the course and don't really miss anything. Perhaps a little more could be added on how to handle mown grass. Briefly on drying and removal of hay.”
/ Lars - August 2024 - Växsjö, Småland
“With a lot of patience, the course instructors showed us all the steps we needed to know. I am completely satisfied with what I learned.
A lot of time was spent on safety, which was necessary. The course location in Ör was a pleasant place. Friendly hosts and good food.
Since returning home, I have mowed my small meadow and finally understood the benefit of working with the left hand.
A very good course that I will recommend others to participate in.”
/ Wiveca - August 2024 - Växsjö, Småland
"I thought it was fun and educational. The course leaders were both positive and enthusiastic, and probably made everyone feel like they could do it (even when we couldn't ;-) ), which of course boosted the atmosphere. I felt welcome and well taken care of. After that day, I can use a scythe and take care of it. …
However, I did feel that there was a lot of information in a short amount of time. Maybe the course should be 1.5 days instead, with the actual mowing on the second day? I would have liked to scythe longer, but I was so tired by that time in the afternoon that I had difficulty staying focused. The afternoon snack was very welcome.
But that was my experience, and since I'm experiencing the after-effects of a stroke, it might have been that I was more tired compared to everyone else.
Thank you for a wonderful day and experience!"
/ Linda - August 2024 - Gunnebo, Halland
“Great session and everyone had the chance to participate and receive help. Good location and well-prepared. … It was particularly beneficial to learn new skills by practicing all the practical moments. "Learning by doing".
The scythe is a fantastic tool, especially in small and tricky areas. It's easy to remove grass along the edges of all vegetable cultivation … and around all our beehives. Previously, we used a trimmer, but it's not as effective. It splatters grass on all the vegetables… Working with a scythe gives meaning … and is much more enjoyable than working out at the gym.”
/ Ingelöv & Ulf - August 2024 - Vallda, Halland
"The course lived up to my expectations. The course has made it significantly easier to mow with a scythe and achieve a better result. It was really good to learn how to adjust the scythe so that it fits both your body and mowing style. I can only give the course leaders Emil and Olof the highest rating; they were professional, nice, and pedagogical.
I can recommend anyone who wants to learn how to mow with a scythe to take a course with slåttergubben."
/ Rasmus - July 2024 - Leksand, Dalarna
"Absolutely amazing that one could learn how to scythe in one day! … The course was conducted at a comfortable pace. We had time to go through the different stages. I will recommend the course, not least because of the nice and informative instructors."
/ Doris - July 2024 - Ljungskile, Bohuslän
"A fantastically educational day! I am very satisfied that I took this course because I got to learn the real basics. I tried a Nordic scythe at the course and liked it, so I bought one.
Everything in the course was great, but especially for me, it was really about seeing how much you have to hammer to get a really sharp edge and the whetting. The course leaders were fantastic with extensive knowledge and really wanted to teach in a good and fine way.
I enjoyed the course and think back on it when I fetch my scythe from the shed to cut. I tell my friends about the course who are curious and highly recommend it."
/ Lars - July 2024 - Ljungskile, Bohuslän
"Many thanks for a very well-executed scythe course that became something of a highlight in the village association's project to create biological diversity in the neighborhood!
The instructors conducted a highly educational, structured, and in all respects professional course. With great knowledge, a friendly and pleasant demeanor, they sparked all the course participants' enthusiasm for scything. A combination of great competence, ease, and a twinkle in the eye created a secure environment. During individual instructions, they first described what was good and then offered valuable advice for improvements. All of this contributed to the good atmosphere and camaraderie.
In the work of increasing biological diversity, the day provided additional inspiration, and we got to experience the joy of mowing.
Thank you for a very successful course. It was a true pleasure to have you here with us.”
/ Helli - July 2024 - Örebro, Närke
"I really learned everything I expected and more! Very good information beforehand. Very good leader. Good content and clear instructions. I highly recommend the course to anyone interested in meadow management!”
/ Jörgen - July 2024 - Örebro, Närke
“The course gave me so much that I could continue practicing scything on my lawn at home. There was a good amount of time for the different tasks, although I probably would have wished for a bit more time to practice scything, to really get the motion down.
Besides, it might not have been the easiest ground to start practicing on, with slopes. But as I understood it, you hadn't held a course there before, so the ground was also unfamiliar to you.”
/ Oscar - July 2024 - Sysslebäck, Värmland
"I learned how to use and maintain my scythe, and that was exactly what the course was about. The instructors were incredibly skilled and made sure we gained the knowledge we needed. … They were excellent at teaching, attentive, full of knowledge, and able to answer all the questions the group had. … They dedicated just the right amount of time until everyone had acquired the necessary skills before moving on to the next step. I don’t think anything needs to be improved. I was completely satisfied with my newly gained knowledge."
/ Madeleine - July 2024 - Rättvik, Dalarna
“Thank you for an excellent course that took place on an incredibly warm and beautiful summer day, I can say that we drank a lot of water. All the elements were well-planned, and we went through exactly what we needed to learn.
Kudos to the instructors who could teach techniques for a left-handed person, which can often be a problem. They also adapted when I found another solution for honing the scythe that felt easier for me.
An extremely fun and rewarding course that I recommend to anyone interested in scything!”
/ Conny - July 2024 - Rättvik, Dalarna
“For me, it was the second opportunity to deepen the technique of scythe peening and buy a 'peening stump.' Very satisfied with the course and what you at Slåttergubben convey!
Enough time and important to exercise caution and conscious work with risks. The course leader brings a wide range of equipment, and you also get great tips on dealing with injuries and handling—how things can be repaired, etc. It was a really warm and lovely day, so you had the weather on your side too.”
/ Christina - July 2024 - Rättvik, Dalarna
“Friendly and skilled teachers with a reasonably sized group for discussion.
The course content covered everything one could expect, and the right amount of time was devoted to the different parts. It was systematically and logically structured! … The only thing that might have been improved would be receiving more help or feedback when sharpening or honing the scythe at the end of the day.
My background was that I had been experimenting with a scythe on my small future meadow for 2 years. The success was so-so... However, the course was very useful for me overall, and the mowing went really well this year, and was more enjoyable!”
/ Håkan - July 2024 - Rättvik, Dalarna
"I am super satisfied! I had watched some YouTube videos beforehand, but it was great to get guidance in a group. Especially good was the feeling that it's difficult to make a mistake, in the sense that everything can be fixed, and that we were warned in a good, educational, and fun way about classic pitfalls. Like hammering too violently and missing the jig, or holding the scythe in a dangerous way."
/ Linus - July 2024 - Sala, Västmanland
"I had a fantastically pleasant day with you. And such good food!
My biggest takeaway was coming home with a scythe adjusted for me so that I could tackle the vegetation at home. It became a small haystack, but the greatest benefit I've had is cutting the roadside verges and tricky spots where it's not possible to drive with a tractor. It's nice to quickly cut something to give the chickens on days when they can't roam freely. We have beehives where growth tends to take over, and we don't want to disturb the bees with a brush cutter, but the scythe doesn't bother even a small bee.
Now, I need to make myself a blade anvil so that I can peen the scythe for the next season. But I know how to do that, both the anvil and the peening since I've taken a course with you."
/ Anna & Björn - July 2024 - Flen, Södermanland
“We thought the course was fun and educational. The instructors were all nice and pedagogical.
I appreciated that you reached out shortly before the course day. We received a thorough introduction to scything and how to sharpen and care for a scythe. All the elements were interesting and relevant. The equipment we were allowed to borrow was great & the scythe was fantastic!
Despite this, we probably would have liked to scythe a bit more. Additionally, the ground we worked on was a bit too difficult. A larger, coherent meadow to practice on, without too many obstacles and too close to other participants, would be better. It got messy and fragmented, and one couldn't focus on finding rhythm and technique. So, more time or alternatively a better meadow to work on would have been preferable.
For those of us who requested vegan food, the meals were a big disappointment. The breakfast sandwich was great. But the lunch (just a plate of soup) was too sparse, and for the afternoon snack, there was nothing for us… It turned into a very long day with far too little food. Had we only known this, we could have brought a packed lunch. We would have gladly done so.”
/ A & M - July 2024 - Flen, Södermanland
“Really good, in my opinion! I previously attended a scything course, but it was more general concerning scythes and focused more on meadows in general. However, Slåttergubben's course was more meticulous about the scythes, with a focus on creating sharp scythes and techniques for mowing, which I was pleased with.
I thought the course was well-organized in terms of time allocated for different elements. I probably didn't know what I wanted to learn, but I did learn a lot!”
/ Björn - July 2024 - Flen, Södermanland
"I am very satisfied with the course. Well-prepared and organized; being able to borrow materials during the day was perfect. The course leaders were excellent! Knowledgeable and with a good pedagogical touch in their instructions and reviews. They were able to adapt and provide individual instructions as well as lead in full group settings.
The content was well laid out with just the right amount of time on material knowledge, practical handling of the knocking jig and the 'setting' of the scythe, as well as fundamental practice in technique and gradual increase towards more demanding (for a beginner) handling.
Highly recommended for anyone who is a bit curious about scything, eager to learn more about meadows and biological diversity."
/ Dennis - July 2024 - Flen, Södermanland
"As a complete novice, I am extremely satisfied with the course content. I learned the basics of how to set up and maintain a scythe, how to stand and move while using it, and even some 'meadow lore.' I think we had just the right amount of time for each part and an appropriate level of detail."
/ Suzanne - July 2024 - Flen, Södermanland
“Incredibly fun and educational! The peening and preparation of the scythe were very clear and good, it felt like we got all the practical and theoretical knowledge we needed to be able to continue independently at home. I think it was also good for those who bought a scythe on the spot that they received help to set it up correctly. I think I had slightly too high expectations of how quickly I would learn, but other than that, it was a fantastic course with very skilled and friendly instructors.”
/ Sofia - July 2024 - Katrineholm, Södermanland
“Really, really good, best teacher, fun! A great experience. It was important for me to take responsibility for spreading the message of biodiversity forward. I'm not going to be ashamed in front of the neighbors; they can watch!”
/ Ann - July 2024 - Västerås, Västermanland
“Big thanks to Slåttergubben with Oskar and Josef as course leaders for a brilliantly fun and knowledge-packed haymaking course! Great balance between serious knowledge sharing and a light-hearted atmosphere with lots of laughter. Highly recommend a 2-day course that provides ample time for theory and practice without stress.”
/ Ulrika & Fredrik - June 2024 - Åtvidaberg, Östergötland
"I participated in the two-day course in Borkhult and am very pleased with both the course and its leaders, as well as the accommodation, food, and fellow course participants. I learned everything I could wish for! I especially appreciated the relaxed pace and how we were guided to complete each section, while also receiving help when needed. I am glad I chose the two-day course, as it gave me the opportunity to stay at Lapphem, enjoy the good food there, and take a couple of dips in the pond."
/ Carina - June 2024 - Åtvidaberg, Östergötland
"It felt very positive to attend this course. The location was suitable, and Ina and Johnny were pleasant hosts. Josef and Oskar were perfect as course leaders. You took care of us beginners in a way that made it easy for us to learn the basics and feel that we could actually learn to mow with a scythe."
/ Saga - June 2024 - Strängnäs, Södermanland
“We are 100% satisfied! It was a very enjoyable and educational day. The course leaders were very nice.
The café owners provided simple and nice food, and the atmosphere was calm all day.
I went there with the idea of just trying out new scythes and blades; for us, participating in the course was going to be our annual scythe expense. But the aha moment of how well the equipment works led to us going home with our own knock blades and scythes purchased. The Nordic scythe suits me very well, and I have been using it for the rest of the summer.”
/ Johan & Helena - June 2024 - Surhammar, Västermanland
“I learned things that I didn't even know I needed to know. I greatly appreciated that the course integrated theory and practice. Understanding the structure of the scythe blade, its edge, and how it works at different angles was really helpful for me and helped me understand how this tool actually functions. …
I am grateful that the course provided me with insights and conditions to learn scything, and I now scythe a small part of our meadow, a little bit almost every day.”
/ Kathe - June 2024 - Kumla, Västmanland
“I found the course to be lighthearted and informal. It was easy to ask for help and there was great understanding that this is just the beginning of learning. The teaching was at a level that made me significantly better... even though I have a long way to go before I become good!
The pace was good, though perhaps we could have had a fruit break in the morning and afternoon to maintain focus.
I'm a little proud that I managed to find the right way to articulate my thoughts when we were asked why we took the scythe course: "I want to pick the raisins out of the cake from each era of tools, and I am convinced that the scythe is such a tool when you master it."
I was very satisfied with the course. And I have already started practicing here and there to grasp the technique while I still remember what I learned!”
/ Oskar - May 2024 - Linköping, Östergötland
"The course was very educational, and it was easy to absorb the information! It was good to start with the practical aspects and spend a considerable amount of time on tapping, assembling, and thinking about how to hold and position. I benefited from this when I later started mowing with the scythe for real.
It was quite warm that afternoon, and I would have appreciated a coffee break while we were mowing... It's easy to get hurt when you're tired and performing new exercises that your body isn't used to. We did have a nice coffee break shortly before the course ended, but it could have been a bit earlier. Everything else was very good, and I've already recommended friends to take the course!
Proud new scythe owner"
/ Lena - May 2024 - Linköping, Östergötland
“I am incredibly happy and satisfied with the Scythe Course! It was a very memorable, educational, and fun day. ...
The entire course was very well-structured and planned. Besides a pleasant day, you get a lot of practical tips and advice, and those who conduct the course are very helpful and considerate. For instance, I discovered that I was very stiff and had some difficulty getting a rhythm in the whole process. But the course leaders had the patience of angels and helped to explain how to do it.
Even though I … struggled a bit with the rhythm, I just became more interested and eager to scythe and preserve the meadows…
A big thank you for existing, for being who you are, for the important and fantastic work you do, and for a wonderful premiere of my first scything!”
/ Oscar - August 2023 - Björkekullens Nature Reserve, Halland
“Great course with detailed information and practice combined with theory.
However, it is completely unacceptable to hold this course during continuous rain. The course should have been canceled and rescheduled. Knowledge comes before money.”
/ Karin - August 2023 - Linköping, Östergötland
“Extremely satisfied with the course overall! I learned what I wanted and more =)
Particularly good were your knowledge and how you collaborated to teach and help us understand.
Something that could be improved, however, is ensuring that breaks occur on time, so that participants can keep up. For our group, it was too late, so everyone became too tired and didn't really recover after the overly late lunch. Simply take a break even if it's in the middle of the hands-on section.
It's great that you demonstrate the naturalness of continuing even if it's pouring rain.”
/ Idun - August 2023 - Linköping, Östergötland
“Extremely satisfied! A very well-balanced program with thorough instructions. My meadow is mowed and the scythe has cut more with my daughter at the handle. Thank you for a pleasant day!”
/ Anna-Karin - August 2023 - Jönköping, Östergötland
“I am extremely satisfied! All aspects were presented in a good and clear manner. It was great to have just the right amount of time for practice and continuous feedback! The course leaders were knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and very pedagogical! Useful to have clarifying examples of how the technique should feel.
It was fantastic to try the equipment before purchasing! I have tried the scythe, but I need a larger meadow! Thank you!”
/ Claes - August 2023 - Linköping, Östergötland
“We received a very pedagogical training in tapping, handling, and checking the results. The actual haymaking thereafter went like a dance.”
/ Pär - August 2023 - Linköping, Östergötland
“Very satisfied with the course! Even though I have taken a scythe course before, this was a completely different technique, which was definitely educational and beneficial for my mowing skills. The course leaders were excellent, pedagogical, calm, had a nice approach, were engaged, and knowledgeable. Thank you!”
/ Eva - August 2023 - Eksjö, Småland
"It was a good and inspiring course, despite the fact that it rained half the day.
Nice to get a grasp on all the steps."
/ Lena - August 2023 - Mariefred, Södermanland
“Extremely satisfied! You were so fantastically pedagogical and the structure was good and methodical. It was great that you wanted us to watch the YouTube clips beforehand; it allowed us to process it in our heads first, before, so to speak, doing it physically. The course was the perfect length, and at the end of the day, one felt satisfied. …
I have always had difficulty with coordination, but I think you also did a good job with the one-on-one instruction, so to speak. You can’t keep going forever, so it’s hard to wish for the course to be longer.
Once again, a thousand thanks for a great course, you are fantastic!”
/ Lars - August 2023 - Karlskrona, Blekinge
“Extremely satisfied with the course! I've told both interested (and uninterested) people how great the course was, and that it was definitely worth the time, money, and that they should take it.
I signed up for the course because I thought I needed it, but I have really enjoyed trying to scythe and I like my scythe! (Despite mistakes, bad luck, and blisters 😆) …
Fundamental, and thus the most important and best part, was probably the encouraging and positive attitude towards us who knew nothing and hardly knew which part of the scythe should be on the ground. You can learn a great deal if someone seems to believe it! …
I might have wanted the day to be somewhat longer to have a bit more time to practice scything while having the instructor within reach.
I could very well imagine taking the course again to repeat and “absorb” a bit more of the tips and advice. Thank you!”
/ Eta - July 2023 - Uddebo, Västergötland
"Can really recommend this course where you receive great help and information on how to handle the scythe, two dedicated and knowledgeable instructors made the day go by too quickly. Meeting other course participants and being in a very good location, with good food and coffee made the day memorable."
/ Lilian - July 2023 - Sala, Västmanland
“I can only say that I am overwhelmingly positive and happy with the course. Everything was so good, well-organized, pleasant, and educational.
The two teachers were fantastic - knowledgeable, pedagogical, helpful, encouraging, and created a very nice atmosphere in the group. The structure also felt perfect; we learned the different steps at a reasonable pace, and by the end of the day, I suddenly had a feeling that I had gained a very solid and good foundation regarding the scythe and mowing. The arrangement at the farm was also very nice; meeting those who lived there, and enjoying a lavish lunch and coffee break.
I can’t think of any area for improvement, actually. It is a day I remember with great joy. So thank you for everything!”
/ Annika - July 2023 - Sala, Västmanland
"I'm very satisfied with the course. Truly. Very good allocation of time between peening and mowing. Spending the time before lunch on peening and then the remaining time on honing and mowing felt perfect and well-balanced. A sharp scythe is fun and important, and therefore worth at least a morning! Of course, one would have wished for more time for mowing, but at the same time, I wouldn't want to take time away from peening and honing.
The only thing I feel is missing from the course was how to freehand peen the scythe with an anvil. The jig is very user-friendly, but compared to freehand peening, it's expensive, and since the anvil and freehand peening are so well-established in scythe mowing, I believe it should be included in a scythe course. That's my only criticism. It could also be partially addressed by having more material on YouTube than what is currently available.
But! The instructors were very pedagogical, and I felt I got what I needed to continue peening, honing, and mowing on my own. I was really satisfied with them. Overall, I was very satisfied with the course!”
/ Christian - July 2023 - Kållandsö, Västergötland
“Very satisfied! Beautiful place, nice and good food. I learned everything I wanted! That is, the basics of handling a scythe. I didn't know what to expect since I was a beginner. But since then, I’ve continued mowing the lawn at home and don't plan to get a lawn mower or trimmer. The course gave me a foundation to take care of the garden, and I dare continue on my own, figuring out, for example, the easiest way to mow a slope, near trees and bushes, etc.
The pedagogical approach was especially good. You seem confident and competent. I didn't feel stupid despite asking "stupid" questions. However, I would have liked a bit more information about the scythe's angles.
Thank you for spreading knowledge! I am grateful to learn the craft – it feels calming like meditation in motion, while also shortening the grass, which needs to be done anyway. Also nice to be able to contribute grass to my friends' grazing animals.”
/ Siri - July 2023 - Tranemo, Västergötland
“My wish was to learn how to scythe and, above all, to keep the scythe sharp. That wish was completely fulfilled, and I have effortlessly mowed the fields at the cottage! It's so nice to avoid the noise and weight of the trimmer. To keep my skills up, the 'scythe course videos' are a great support. It will be exciting to see how the meadows develop. Thank you for a good and pleasant course day!”
/ Katarina - July 2023 - Alingsås, Västergötland
"I am extremely satisfied with the course. I wasn't really sure what to expect. I didn't have much of an idea of what the course would cover. But now I mow with my scythe as often as I can!"
/ Micke - July 2023 - Ulrika, Östergötland
“Absolutely satisfied! I learned what I wanted and felt ready to start striking on my own after the course ended. The instructors were present and could provide individual assistance to each person. However, I would have appreciated a bit more time for practical exercises.”
/ Tobias - July 2023 - Tjörn, Västergötland
“I am very satisfied with the course. A good educational structure with theory and hands-on practice in the morning and scything in the afternoon. I learned both how to peen and had the opportunity to try scything. Of course, I would have liked to practice more with guidance on scything. Maybe I would have wanted a bit more time out in the field and a bit less on peening and theory. But I am truly grateful that you came here and conducted the course.”
/ Helena - July 2023 - Koster, Västergötland
"Extremely satisfied! Great structure and content. The course included everything I needed to go home and start mowing my own meadow. Thank you!"
/ Anna & Anders - July 2023 - Arvika, Värmland
“Overall, I am very satisfied with the course. I still feel uncertain about the peening and need to practice. I would have to say that we managed to cover a reasonable amount in the time available. The part I feel particularly unsure about is sensing if the edge is thin enough... But the mowing went brilliantly!”
/ Mats - July 2023 - Malung, Dalarna
“Thank you for a very good course!
The structure was so pedagogical! It's not easy to create new movement patterns and body memories, and it doesn't get easier with age (we are 65 and 70 respectively). But with the step-by-step method you used, it worked really well! We have now mowed our approximately 1000 square meters of coastal meadow, and it gets better with each use of the scythe.
But the day was not only educational, we also had a great time. Despite not entirely optimal weather. Thank you for the pleasant reception.”
/ Ann-Marie & Lennart - July 2023 - Tjörn, Västergötland
"I have been using my beloved scythe almost every day since the course this summer. …
With the scythe, I am free to mow when I want and where I want. The scythe always starts willingly, it doesn't have a long starter cord, no canister of fuel, no ear protection, no heavy machines that need to be loaded on and off trailers! It's just me and my scythe, which I hone to sharpness myself. That is freedom!
Plus, I get core stability training and really beautiful surfaces. It's fascinating to see how the grass lays in rows without extra effort!"
/ Pia - June 2023 - Bjurtjärn, Värmland
“Thank you so much for such a fun and rewarding scythe course here on Värmdö.
What wonderful people you have hired as teachers! They are pedagogical, methodical, engaged, and very kind.
The whole group was completely euphoric yesterday and came into work like little suns today. Everyone - even those who usually don't say much, said how much they enjoyed it.
In summary: Everyone loves it!”
/ Ieva - June 2023 - Värmdö, Uppland
"As an overall rating, I give the course day 5 out of 5.
A fantastic day in an incredibly beautiful location. A warm welcome from the hosts and knowledgeable leaders. Thanks to the small number of participants, I received a lot of feedback and answers to all my questions. The course was tailored to our needs, which suited me as a beginner. I might have wished to have some practice on ground that wasn't so rocky (but we were in Småland...). Homemade bread, delicious snacks, and a good vegetarian lunch.
It was wonderful to see the hay meadows around the farm and to spot cat's foot, I'd love to come back!
Now it's time to practice :)”
/ Course Participant - June 2023 - Bihult, Småland
“I am satisfied with the course and believe I learned what I wanted to.
I haven't practiced much at home yet. I still have quite a bit of technique left to learn, but I think it will come with more practice. It was especially good that we learned how to sharpen the scythe. It seems like that could be the hardest thing to figure out on your own afterward. The atmosphere was very nice as well, and the weather was excellent. Then the course was special because we had several assistant leaders who were teaching their first course.
One of the assistant leaders only told me when I was doing something wrong. Sometimes he showed how to do it, and sometimes he just passed by without saying anything, but I don't think he ever said when I did it right, so I became quite unsure. …”
/ Stina - May 2023 - Linköping, Östergötland
"After a day with Slåttergubben, I have the knowledge and equipment to scythe for a lifetime! Very satisfied with the course and learned the technique to keep the scythe sharp and cut correctly. … Especially nice to practice with my own scythe with the instructor by my side. It took too long to get started, and the distribution of materials was a bit messy before everyone got the right things. It could have been organized before we arrived.
But the instructor was brilliant, knowledgeable and pleasant. Also, a very nice farm environment with the host family in Bettna.”
/ Ola - May 2023 - Bettna, Sörmland
“Very satisfied with the course and learned what I wanted to. There were only 5 of us in the course, which was just right in my opinion, as I don't like having too many people around when I'm trying to learn. I knew which scythe I wanted to buy when I came to the course because I had tried it at the garden fair, but for those who haven't, it can be good to start the course by holding each respective scythe and trying them out a bit.
I went home from the course on a high because I had been longing for a good scythe and to be able to use it properly for several years. I have been scything a little almost every day since then!”
/ Kerstin - May 2023 - Linköping, Östergötland
